Croatia’s tourism industry is growing in popularity, and cruising in Croatia is becoming a popular choice for vacation worldwide. With more than 200 sunny days every year, Croatia has emerged as one of the top cruise destinations in Europe.
We had a fabulous season from Mid-May till the end of October, with our 4 boats sailing all around the Croatian coast and exploring the most beautiful parts of our stunning country.
It's time to say goodbye from now to the summer of 2021. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Let us give you a look back at some of our favorite moments from last summer, and to give you reason not to miss your chance in 2022. We'll be sailing all over Croatia again with some new and familiar faces and try to make an even better experience than this summer.
The Croatian summer cruise of 2021 was a fantastic experience for everyone on board. It is always so much fun to meet new people from all around the world and share great experience together!
One of our guests wrote about her cruising experience:
My family cruised along with great friends and soon to be family aboard the Ohana is June 2021. The boat is exquisite and truly has everything you need to be comfortable and relax. The design and the finishes were handpicked by the Captain/Owner and his family – you can see the time spent in the detail in all areas of the yacht. The professional chefs, sous chefs and bartenders provided magnificent food, deserts and drinks and they were very accommodating of those with special dietary restrictions. The captain and his assistants were very professional and friendly taking time to explain the complex ship to my curious husband even giving him and his cousin a tour of the engine room. Ivana, our cruise director gave 100% to ensure that everyone in our party was happy, having a great time and in need of nothing. Someone in our party nicknamed her Julie for the 1980 sitcom “The Love Boat” even pulling up old episodes of the show to show Ivana her namesake. At the end of our cruise no one wanted to get off the boat and leave our new family!
It makes us really happy when passengers have such positive things to say after their Croatia vacation! If you are interested in reading all of our reviews head over to our Trust Pilot profile where you can find them all.
Not only does cruising the Croatian coast allow you to visit many different places, different islands but it also lets you experience them in a special way and be able to see some of the most beautiful places in Croatia up close!
For instance, when we were staying at anchor near small islands or beaches with crystal clear water - our guests could do some snorkeling on their own and discover all kinds of sea life that are hiding underwater or enjoy the water sports. The best part about cruising is that it's always exciting because you never know where your boat might be going after each stopover :)
We had the chance to explore some of Croatia’s hidden gems, starting with Split. The Roman amphitheater is just one example of how history still resonates in this place.
We went all around the island Brac and visited several little bays that only a few other captains knew about! It was an amazing experience having such a pristine area almost for ourselves!
Wandering through the streets of Hvar is always a must, as well as visiting fortress "Španjola". Magnificent view from the top will leave everyone breathless. Swim-stop in front of the famous Paklinski islands or partying through famous clubs of Hvar was always a perfectly used day full of fun and joy.
Among many different places, it was always a pleasure to visit medieval towns Korcula and Dubrovnik, to explore its sights, or just walk over famous walls. It is worth mentioning that a bike ride through National Park Mljet was always one of the most beautiful excursions you can take while on board, especially when you need to sober up after a party night.
Croatian food and wine selection are also a major part of this experience! For all wine lovers, Peninsula Pelješac was the perfect spot to try some of the best Croatian wine sorts.
Croatian cuisine is filled with flavors that will definitely amaze you - from spices and different types of fish to meat, cheese, truffles, and many other local products. The food preparation is simple yet delicious.
Let us not forget about the stunning views our guests have been able to enjoy passing among Croatian islands, as well as beautiful sunsets at sea or dockside. There really aren’t enough words to describe these moments so you should be here next summer if you are thinking of taking your own.
We hope you enjoyed reading about our previous cruise season in Croatia as much as we enjoyed living it!
It’s been a great summer, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
