Born in 1949 in Sumartin on the island of Brač, our father Josip was passionately in love with the sea and ships from an early age. Knowing what he wanted to achieve in life, he graduated from shipbuilding high school and got a job at a shipyard. Sumartin has the oldest shipyard on the Adriatic. At the age of 24, he moved to Canada, got a job at a large shipyard where he gathered a handful of skills and knowledge. In 1984, the whole family decided to return to the island of Brač, where our parents opened their own business for the construction and repair of wooden boats
That time was a turning point for us. We went step by step, and in 2013 we built a 38.5 meter long motor ship Harmonia in the shipyard in Vranjica. After two years, in 2015, the ship Melody was made. In 2019, the luxury motor ship YOLO and the newest Ohana in 2020 were built.
In 1993, in a small port, we began construction of our first ship, which was completed two years later. The ship Joan was an 18-meter boat for day trips. From an early age, all three of us brothers worked together with our parents, and we also finished shipbuilding school. In 2004, we started building a more massive 31 m longship in Postira. It took us five years, but when we finished it, our big dream came true. How to name it differently than the symbolic "San snova".
