United Airlines connect Dubrovnik and New York

Great news for the recovery of tourism

Ever since the corona became a coexistence for the whole world, every good news has been accompanied by joy. As countries around the world begin the process of reopening, travellers are eager for a long-awaited escape to new destinations.
The big news resounded this week that United Airlines will introduce the New York - Dubrovnik - New York route from this July.

This undoubtedly will be a big boost for the tourism industry, and direct flights mean that tourists from all over the US could spend their summers in Dubrovnik and on the Croatian coast and islands.

From early July till early October 2021, with the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft having a maximum capacity of 214 seats, this well-known American carrier offers new direct flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Dubrovnik. The flights will be operated three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays from Newark and Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Dubrovnik. They will be adapted to connect Newark with over 65 cities in North America.

Three direct flights a week from the USA to Dubrovnik, opening many natural beauties in the open air, will be more than welcome news. There is no doubt that this route, despite the global pandemic, will be successful for airline and Croatian tourism. In the last month, searches on United.com for flights to Croatia have increased by 61%.

"As countries around the world begin the process of reopening, leisure travelers are eager to take a long-awaited getaway to new international destinations" said Patrick Quayle, vice president of international network and alliances. "These three new routes unlock the natural beauty of the outdoors for our guests. They are also the latest example of how United is remaining nimble in rebuilding our network."

The United Travel-Ready Center allows passengers to verify the "COVID-19 documentation" on testing and vaccination before check-in so that they can get their boarding pass before arriving at the airport.
